Nerve Centre Donates Copies of Dave Duggan's book Journeywork, a Creative Life to Derry Central Library

Author Dave Duggan and Nerve Centre have generously donated 20 copies of Dave's latest book, Journeywork, a Creative Life, to Derry Central Library on Foyle Street.

Welcoming the donation, Simon Quigg, Branch Library Manager, said:

“It was a pleasure to have highly acclaimed local author Dave Duggan donate his book title Journeywork, a Creative Life in Derry Central Library.”

About the Book

Journeywork, a Creative Life is a collection of thirteen essays exploring the arc of a creative life. Each essay stands as a chapter in its own right, blending memoir, reflections on personal health, and insights into creative practice and theory. Together, they offer a unique and deeply personal perspective on living and working creatively.

A Nerve Centre Publication

The book was published by Nerve Centre in November 2024 and launched with a packed-out event during the Foyle Film Festival. The evening celebrated Dave’s contribution to the arts and literature, while giving readers the first glimpse as he read excerpts to the crowd.

Where to Find It

Copies of Journeywork, a Creative Life are now available to borrow from Derry Central Library, and also all libraries within the district, giving local readers free access to Dave’s reflections.

For those who wish to own a copy, the book is also available to purchase directly from the Nerve Centre website.
