About the Project
Centred around an epic scale model of the solar system designed by the artist Oliver Jeffers, Our Place in Space combines a three-dimensional sculpture trail, interactive AR app and exciting learning and events programmes.
In 2022, the trail landed on the banks of the River Foyle in Derry~Londonderry before moving to Divis and the Black Mountain in Belfast. We then travelled across the Irish Sea to Cambridge followed by Liverpool.
The trail returned to Northern Ireland at the Ulster Transport Museum and North Down Coastal Path on 24 February - 26 March 2023. The Sun to Mars has remained at Ulster Transport Museum as an exhibit to continue to enjoy!
