From storyboard to space battle!
In this five-day taster programme, you’ll shoot, edit and create visual effects for a short sci-fi action sequence.
Think laser weapons, enemy drones and far-off planets — then learn how to bring it all to life using industry-standard tools. You don’t need experience — just ideas and curiosity!

What's Involved
- Plan, design and execute your own visual effects shots using green screen and VFX technology
- Composite, matte and rotoscope sci-fi effects like lasers and energy blasts using After Effects and Photoshop
- Explore 3D modelling techniques by designing and building assets in Blender
What You'll Learn
- How to work as part of a busy film team, managing a schedule and ensuring footage is correctly stored and organised
- VFX fundamentals — green screen shooting, basic compositing, and 3D workflows
- How to take a VFX sequence from concept to final edit, ready for screening
- Essential VFX skills using After Effects, Blender and Photoshop
