Join us for a series of online teacher training sessions focusing on Halloween project ideas you can create with your class. We have 3 different workshops for you to choose from with fun short projects you can do with your pupils.
Each of the workshops will come with a short instructional video walkthrough of the content covered that will be sent to you after attending the webinar.
All sessions take place from 3.45pm–4.30pm.
Monday 14 October
Scratch Jr: Jack O'Lantern
This online session will show you how to use Scratch Junior to bring a pumpkin to life through code — a perfect Halloween project for KS1 and KS2 pupils.
What You’ll Learn:
- Edit and customise existing backgrounds
- Create custom sprites
- Use simple broadcast and receive to get 2 sprites to interact
Tuesday 15 October
Makecode Arcade: Haunted Mansion
Can you escape the mansion before the timer runs out and you are trapped forever? Learn how KS2 and KS3 pupils can use Makecode Arcade to create a fun Halloween themed maze game.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to design and build a custom tilemap
- How to code a character to move around with keyboard controls, and set the win conditions of the game

Adobe Express: AI Spooky Poster
Learn how your pupils can use generative AI and design features in Adobe Express to create a Halloween movie poster with added animation to bring their spooky creations to life! A fun way to introduce AI and simple editing skills at KS2 and KS3.
What You’ll Learn:
- Using AI tools in Adobe Express Combine text, images and other design features to create a unique poster
- Make the poster come to life with animation and videos
