Join us for a unique virtual reality (VR) cinema experience...
Goliath: Playing with Reality is a 25-minute award-winning VR experience that delves into themes of mental health, gaming, and human connection. Through striking animation and interactive storytelling, the experience invites audiences to navigate the many realities of Goliath, a man who finds solace and understanding in the world of multiplayer gaming after years spent in psychiatric institutions.
Narrated by Tilda Swinton, Goliath combines heartfelt dialogue, mesmerising visuals, and symbolic interactions to challenge perceptions of reality and mental health. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Best VR Work at the 78th Venice International Film Festival, this thought-provoking piece offers a poignant look at the role of online games in bridging isolation and fostering connection.
Each session will last up to 45 minutes, including headset fitting and brief introductions.
Don't miss this opportunity to experience cutting-edge storytelling that pushes the boundaries of immersive cinema.
This event is supported by the BFI Film Academy awarding National Lottery funding.
