We're not talking about playing games... we're talking about making them!
The Northern Ireland Screen Academies Games Development Academy returns, with applications open for 16–19 year-olds interested in a gaming career. Over 11 sessions, you'll use industry-standard software and learn practical skills from professionals.
Apply now to our Games Development Academy and launch your creative journey. In collaboration with gaming specialists Kippie, you will experience the full process of taking your game from and idea to reality.

What's Involved
- Masterclasses: Attend a series of in-depth masterclasses focusing on the theory of game making and making a career in the industry
- Industry project: Work alongside industry professionals for seven weeks to develop a game for a final pitch at a showcase event in Hypixel Studios in Derry/Londonderry
- Hands-on experience: Gain practical experience in various aspects of game development, including idea generation, programming, and 2D and 3D art
