Micro:bit Virtual Emotional Pet | NI Science Festival

Code your own digital pet and bring it to life with Micro:bit in this hands-on workshop...

Create your very own digital pet that you can see and hear their emotions and how they feel. Pupils will be guided step by step on how to create their pets and will use a variety of coding blocks to achieve this. Additionally, teachers will be emailed a paper template that you can print and students can colour, decorate and cutout to fit their Micro:bit inside to complete their pet. This is optional and will only be showcased during the workshop not demonstrated.

This workshop will require students to have access to a computer and a physical Micro:bit device. No prior coding or Micro:bit experience is necessary to take part in the lesson.
