Where music meets imagination
In this hands-on workshop, children aged 7–11 will compose their own original music for a wild and magical creature — soft and sneaky, or loud and legendary! Using GarageBand, they’ll learn the basics of music-making while bringing their very own AI-generated beast to life through sound.
Two sessions are available:
Wednesday 13 August
- Session 1: 10.00am–11.15am
- Session 2: 12.00pm–1.15pm
What’s Involved
- Use GarageBand to create a short, original theme tune using built-in loops and samples
- Choose one of three AI-generated creatures and match music to its personality
- Merge sound and image by adding the final track into iMovie
What They'll Learn
- Build, layer, edit, and mix music using Garage Band
- Choose instruments and styles to match mood and character
- Export and combine audio with visuals in iMovie

- No prior GarageBand and musical knowledge is required
- All equipment is provided
