Into Film building stories with schools across the North West

Our Creative Learning team has been busy delivering Storybuilder workshops and Film Buff screenings with our network of primary and secondary schools across the North West during March and April.

Over 650 pupils have benefited from our workshop series, which helps young people to watch and review film in the classroom, discuss film language and themes and write reviews. Over 3,800 reviews have been submitted by our pupils this year!

Story Builder workbooks have been well thumbed this term with pupils storyboarding and creating characters that they then make into a short animation with our Creative Learning Centre team.

The Nerve Centre is funded by the Department of Communities through Northern Ireland Screen to deliver an enhanced Into Film Club programme to 30 extended schools in Northern Ireland. The Into Film club programme is a UK-wide, free schools initiative that gives 5-19 year olds the opportunity to access and enjoy film creatively and critically.
