The Marra: Live In Concert And Jim Curran’s Twilight Zone Disco
Nerve Centre, 7-8 Magazine Street, Derry~Londonderry
Admission: £12 + booking fee
This Derry-formed five-piece is part of the next wave in Ireland’s thriving music culture — fired up and ambitious, ready to thrill with their unique sound.
“Mega tunes.” Succinct as always, Oasis star Noel Gallagher knows what’s good, and rising Irish rock band The Marra have his stamp of approval.
All local lads who grew up a stone’s throw from one another, The Marra are Shane MacGowan (rhythm guitar), Ryan Ward (vocals), Matthew Crossan (guitar), Luke McLaughlin (bass) and Conor Lynch (drums). With an eclectic range of influences — musical, literary, cinematic — they’re carving out a path that is all their own.
A tribute to Vinny...
This event is part of Foyle Film Festival's tribute to friend and colleague, Vinny Cunningham, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
Vinny was a huge fan of music, and we are delighted that local band The Marra will play at Nerve Centre as part of our tribute to Vinny.
Vinny’s good friend, Jim Curran, will provide support with his Twilight Zone Disco.
