Join us for a celebration of local contemporary archiving during Refugee Week

This special event, in partnership with Nerve Centre, Northern Ireland Screen and Queen’s University Belfast will showcase a selection of videos from diverse community organisations engaged with the Northern Ireland Now: Contemporary Collecting project.

Following a screening there will be a panel discussion between community partners from the project, people working with refugees and asylum seekers and individuals from ethnic minorities living in Northern Ireland.

Selected video works from the following community organisations will be screened:

  • ImageNation NI, Belfast
  • Anaka Women’s Collective, Belfast
  • SPUDS, Drumcree Community Centre, Portadown
  • North West Creatives, Nerve Centre, Derry City
  • BeU LGBTQIA+, Belfast

  • Yallaa Cafe, Belfast

The venue is wheelchair accessible; BSL/ISL and Arabic interpretation will be provided.
