Why just play games when you can make them?
During this hands-on workshop, young creators aged 8–16 will become the masterminds behind their own retro-style video games. Using Microsoft MakeCode Arcade, they’ll design pixel-perfect characters, build action-packed levels and bring it all to life with simple drag-and-drop code.
And the best part? They’ll play their finished game on a real handheld retro gaming console!
What's Involved
- Design characters, stories and game levels from scratch
- Use block-based coding to add movement, power-ups and effect
- Test, tweak and play the final game on a real retro game console
