Are you aged between 15–18 and passionate about making your voice heard? Join us for a hands-on filmmaking programme designed to explore, express, and elevate the experiences and challenges of young men today.

What’s it about?

In partnership with Ulster University’s Taking Boys Seriously project, this programme explores themes crucial to young men: masculinity, mental health, friendships, and more. Through the lens of videography, this project invites YOU to add your perspective on what it means to grow up as a young man in today’s world.

What's Involved

What you’ll do:

  • Day 1: Engage with the research team from Ulster University, learn how your experiences align with those of your peers across Northern Ireland, and start developing your film ideas

  • Day 2: Get hands-on with cameras and equipment, in groups, you’ll script and storyboard your vision, turning abstract concepts into engaging film narratives

  • Day 3: Lights, camera, action! Film your project with the support of our expert mentors
