Preparing you for further training and employment-ready opportunities in the Screen Industries.
The Employability Skills Accelerator Programme is ideal for recent Further and Higher Education graduates (Nerve Centre OCN Creative Media and BFI Film Academy Alumni). By the end of the programme, participants will have:
- Increased understanding of the screen industry employment climate in NI, where the jobs are and how to progress towards them.
- 30 hours of practical industry-led training in a skills gap role in the art department, locations, and craft skills.
- An industry-friendly CV, cover letter and showreel from work readiness training to improve their employability prospects.
- Introduction and interview with a local screen industries employer.
- Time and support to better understand the skills gap roles, and the working culture and realities of working in these roles.
- Networking and signposting through the Foyle Film Festival Industry programme to further progression opportunities with Northern Ireland Screen.

- 3 October: Professional Standards — Set Etiquette
- 10 October: Production Paperwork — Why You Need It
- 17 October: Health & Safety on Set
- 24 October: Hands-On Experience — Production Preparation Day
- TBC (Sat/Sun): Production Day — Live Set Experience
- TBC (Sat/Sun): Advanced Set Experience
- Mid-Term: Self-Reflection, Shoot Evaluation, Professional Feedback Reports from HODs
- 7 November: Self-Led Learning and Preparation Week
- 10–14 November: Career Development — Self-Management in the Industry
- 21 November: Industry Integration — Networking and Employer Engagement
- 5 December: Evaluation and Career Progression Planning
- 7 March 2026: Post Programme Networking Event
