Join Dylan McGuirk as he shows you different ways of working with clay and how it was used for building in the past.
Dylan is highly skilled in Traditional Crafts Vernacular building. This is also called traditional architecture, and refers to construction methods and styles that are indigenous to a specific place and time, using locally available materials and reflecting local customs and traditions.
This will be your chance to have a go at building a wattle and daub wall and even some traditional mud brick making!
Dylan McGuirk is a traditional craftsman who is highly skilled at carpentry, basketmaking, coppice work, hedgelaying and traditional crafts vernacular building. You can see more of his work here.
