Nerve Centre is Northern Ireland’s leading creative media arts centre. We are leading the delivery of Our Place in Space, the Northern Ireland commission as part of Festival UK* 2022, in partnership with artists Oliver Jeffers and Die Hexen, National Museums NI, Astrophysics Research Centre at Queen's University Belfast, Big Motive, Microsoft, Taunt and the Northern Ireland Science Festival.
Our Place in Space is a unique experiment in astrophysics, augmented reality, landscape, visual art and play, asking what happens to your perspective on everything when you look back at earth from space.
We are seeking a Creative Assistant to join the project team. This is an exciting role for a creative, organised and self-motivated person to provide support to the Executive and Senior Producer on a mass participation project of scale.

- Office Location: Nerve Centre staff are currently working remotely in line with government advice. The role will be required to work from the Nerve Centre office in Derry-Londonderry, or Nerve Belfast in Belfast.

Creative Assistant – Our Place in Space (Festival UK* 2022)
The Creative Assistant will provide support to the Executive and Senior Producers. Reporting directly to the Senior Producer, your responsibilities include providing administrative support across the team, managing communication between internal and external partners, and coordinating meetings and site visits where required.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have at least one year's experience providing production support in a cultural organisation and/or a large-scale creative programme. Relevant administrative experience, including diary management and preparing meeting materials, experience of assisting with events and engagement programmes, excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills and excellent IT skills, including MS Office and online shared working.
This is a full-time, fixed-term post until December 2022. Salary: £21,000.
