Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 May saw the final weekend of Our Place in Space's sculpture trail, which has been illuminating the banks of the River Foyle for the past 4 weeks. Wishing it well on its onward journey to Belfast was an epic weekend of entertainment and workshops featuring some of the very best talents the city has to offer.
On Saturday, St Columb's Park played host to a solar cinema, sharing the delights of Muppets from Space, Wall-E, and Star Wars, whilst a stage of super-star performers provided day-long entertainment with something for all kinds of earthlings! Local talents DuoZouk, Magwere, and Bazork had the crowds grooving whilst Fireworks Dance Academy showcased a series of special performances curated especially for Our Place in Space!
Sunday's space festival passed the mic to Nerve Centre's local Hot House talents, showcasing their latest tunes, followed by out-of-this world performances from Parker, Tessio, and Roe.
Across the weekend a whole host of workshops from space-graffiti, nature walks, yoga, basket weaving, and storytelling offered the opportunity to get crafty or experience something new.
