BFI Film Academy Scene
BFI Film Academy Scene are events that bring together young filmmakers from across the UK, showcasing their work through screenings, Q&As and networking opportunities, providing a unique opportunity to learn from and be inspired by filmmaking peers.
In March 2022 our film team visited four venues and engaged with young filmmakers. These involved Glasgowbury Film Collective, Southern Regional College, South West College and South Eastern Regional College (SERC)
Over 120 young people from across Northern Ireland got the chance to meet with leading industry talent and enjoy screenings, Q&As and unique networking opportunities. The students got a chance to chat with the director of short film, ‘Human Error,’ Aidan Largey and assistant director, Tomala White and Barry Brennan from Screen Academies NI.
Northern Ireland Screen also showcased their upcoming opportunities in Film, Games and Animation.
