Community Collaboration
We have worked with a variety of amazing community groups to shine a light on their stories and experiences.
Working with groups across Northern Ireland
The project gives voice to and prioritises material relating to underrepresented communities including ethnic minorities, diversity of religious belief, disabled people, neurodivergent people, LGBTQIA+ individuals and working-class communities (especially young men), to address imbalances in our collections.
We've met with wonderful community groups across Northern Ireland. So far we have had the pleasure of working with 14 amazing community groups. We've met with rural groups in Hilltown, the Belfast-based ImageNation and Anaka Women's Collective, Selkies in Portaferry, community groups in Omagh, SPUDS in Portadown and creative media students in Derry and many more.

Contributing to the Archival Community across the UK and Ireland
Partaking in panels discussing queering film archives in Cork, collaborating with Belfast Film Festival and contributing to conferences in London, Nerve Centre and Northern Ireland Screen have worked tirelessly to advance the presence of the Digital Film Archive across the UK and Ireland.
