About the Project

From daring sacrifices during the First World War to the political and military efforts of men and women who fought for independence, Creative Centenaries has developed a series of graphic novels exploring real people behind events in Ireland during the Decade of Centenaries.

Bringing the stories of these individuals to life, the graphic novels are available in print and digital formats and include education packs and resources for use in the classroom at Key Stage 2 and 3.

There are a number of stories available including the stories of the Easter Rising and the Battle of the Somme, of Ireland's soldier poet Francis Ledwidge, revolutionary Michael Collins and socialite and suffragist Lady Londonderry.
