If you've ever imagined yourself pulling the strings behind-the-scenes at a large festival, curating an exhibition, organising a film festival or gig, this is the course for you.
With our live venue, cinema, annual Foyle Film Festival and a stage at Stendhal Festival, we know a thing or two about running events.
You will gain experience devising your own line-up, programming film clubs, curating art exhibitions and booking artists, to creating marketing materials and delivering your final events in our state of the art live venue, exhibition space and cinemas.

Modules Covered
The modules you will cover on this course include:
- Event Organisation in the Fine or Performing Arts
This unit covers all aspects of event management, marketing, roles of those involved, risk assessment, logistics, event plans and legislation. Students will get hands-on experience running events at Nerve Centre in 2023/24 with other course participants in music, film, photography etc; - Team Working Skills
Creative arts and digital technologies focused module involving smaller group working on different event roles on project to project basis; - Graphic Design Project
Working on designs from conception to production of event along with post evaluation. Includes brand development, working to deadlines and project management; - Video Editing
Focusing on content creation for use on social media and includes capturing sequences, storyboarding and editing; - Using Social Media
Understanding the application of social media, utilising various platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok.
