This year our Continuing Professional Learning (CPL) week is taking a blended approach. As well as offering creative hands-on workshops in both our Derry~Londonderry and Belfast Creative Learning Centres we are also offering a menu of pre-recorded sessions for both Primary and Post Primary teachers, subs, classroom assistants and technicians enabling you to access them in your own time.

Our hands-on creative workshops will take place from Monday 15 until Friday 19 August in both our Derry~Londonderry and Belfast Creative Learning Centres and will be bookable from Wednesday 20 July.

Monday 15 August | 2pm–3.30pm

Adobe Online Workshop — Adobe Educator Level 1

The Adobe Creative Educator Level 1 session digs into the ideas from Sir Ken Robinson’s world famous TED talk and how we can use creativity plus digital skills to fulfil student potential in traditional subjects. This session will be led by Dominic Traynor and Paul Sandy.

The training lasts 90 minutes and will take place on Zoom. It will look at:

  • What creativity is, why it is important and what it looks like in action

  • Some of the digital skills we can use to bring our teaching to life in new ways

We’ll use Adobe Express, free to all NI schools, and all get hands-on with the tool during the session to create things that are useful in the classroom.

We have added additional sessions on:

- Wednesday 17 August | 10am–11.30am

- Friday 19 August | 10am–11.30am

All those who attend will become certified Level 1 Adobe Creative Educators.
