In this masterclass aimed at young people with an interest in the film industry, you will have the incredible opportunity to find out more about the career journeys of our special guests... Actor, Meredith Colchester & Producer, Callum Harrison (Joy In People), Writer and Film/TV Director and Cornelius Walker (Black Sheep)

Callum Harrison

Music Video Producer at Canada

Callum has extensive experience working across narrative, music videos, commercials, content and documentaries. He enjoys technical projects, priding himself on conceptual film making with visual led storytelling that pushes unique characters to the forefront.

In his early career Callum worked with a number of exciting directors, developing and producing music videos, branded content for Levi’s, Adidas, Google and short films in the early careers of Oscar Hudson and Yoni Lappin.

In 2019 Callum co-founded Ground Work, an independent and forward thinking Production Company. Following that Callum took over as the Head of Black Sheep Studios, BBH's in-house production company.

Meredith Colchester

Actor & Director

Meredith, usually known as Merry, comes from a background in Performance Arts, graduating with a BA from Brighton University in 2011. He then went into the film industry setting up Gallivant Film with three friends, which is ongoing.

After several successful years producing mainly music videos and documentaries, prominently their feature doc ‘Granny Project’ which has screenings worldwide, he reverted to his main passion, Theatre. With Joe Mulcrone, Merry set up Cat and Mouse Theatre in Brighton, making immersive theatre, most successfully the annual feature 'Charlie Brown Speakeasy' performed at Boomtown Festival and other live music events.

Together, with ex-tutor Matt Rudkin, Merry and Joe also set up three successful comedies: Buddhism, is it just for losers? The Room In The Elephant and Fake Hip Gnosis, Independently Merry continues his acting career and his engagement as a director. Merrys now works In Partnership with 'Chronyko' creating unique team-building-computer-hacking-immersive-experiences for corporate IT companies or departments.

Cornelius Walker

TV & Film - Director

Cornelius Walker is a writer & director based in London, England.

Cornelius’s love for film sprouted at a young age and his passion blossomed shortly after being inspired by a teacher he had during his time in Canada. Early in his career, Cornelius self-funded his own short films, creating opportunities to learn and increase his skillset.

Since leaving film school, Cornelius has worked at ITV Studios, as well as co-founding his own company to work on projects for clients such as Google, HSBC, and William & Grant. Cornelius has directed films starring Tosin Cole (Doctor Who) and directed a project for Google creative lab which shot in South Africa and Nigeria.

“Black Sheep”
was produced by Lightbox Entertainment and The Guardian and went on to secure an Academy Award nomination. Also nominated at the IDA Awards, it went on to win 13 titles at a series of film festivals.
