Fresh from wowing crowds on their 6000 mile European tour supporting the legendary Skunk Anansie, New Pagans return to Derry!

With every new release, New Pagans use their creative influence to challenge past and present issues surrounding relationships, equality, history, and gender, all wrapped up in their own brand of alternative, post-punk, indie rock . Despite the global crisis that hit the music industry in 2020, New Pagans have continued turning heads with the release of their Glacial Erratic EP and debut album The Seed, The Vessel, The Roots and All which include tracks ‘It’s Darker’, ‘Charlie Has The Face Of A Saint’ and ‘Admire’.

Their latest offering “Find Fault with Me” saw them delve deeper into their post-punk roots and take their knack for visual storytelling to more cinematic heights with a video directed by bassist Claire Miskimmin and shot by Macker Films. The band has received acclaim from the likes of The Line Of Best Fit, Kerrang, Louder, Clash and more. And in addition to Steve Lamacq’s support, the band have also received regular plays from BBC 6 Music and Radio 1 from Chris Hawkins, Daniel P Carter, Phil Taggart, Huw Stephens and Jack Saunders as well as John Kennedy at Radio X, BBC Introducing, Kerrang Radio, Amazing Radio and more.

Tickets on sale from: Friday 17 June, 12pm

About the band

New Pagans proudly accepted the award for ‘Best Live Act’ at the NI Music Prize 2020, cementing them as one of the most exciting and interesting Irish acts, both sonically and visually.

As a collective they offer a wealth of artistic scope from Lyndsey’s skills in Irish embroidery, and her deep interest in Irish history, to bassist Claire’s visual artistry and talents as a director, and the songwriting and production experience of guitarist Cahir O’Doherty (Jetplane Landing, Fighting With Wire), along with the musical expertise of guitarist Alan McGreevy and drummer Conor McAuley.
