A recovering addict, Leon remains clean and optimistic thanks to the unwavering support of his gruff mentor Iver (Liam Carney - The Commitments, Angela’s Ashes). Iver is terminally ill and has opted for assisted suicide with the support of practical, no-nonsense doctor Maria (Maureen Beattie — Deadwater Fell, Our House).
Leon is not ready for him to go but promises one last day filled with adventure, lessons to be learnt and memories to be savoured.
