ALL AGES | Tickets on sale on Friday, February 8
Youth19 presents a night of good music and great craic, with up-and-coming local bands and artists taking to the stage. Part of the Young Blood festival that's taking over the city on February 15-16.
Headlining are Cherym, a three-piece all-girl garage punk/ noise/pop band hailing from Derry and keeping up the tradition of Derry producing the best in noisy, punky pop with attitude. Cherym were nominated at NI Music Prize for Best Single and Oh Yeah Contender in 2018.
Also playing are Foreign Owl, Susie Blue, and Lost Avenue. Foreign Owl found their musical home in Derry by way of a protracted route through the Southern prefecture of Fukuoka, Japan and the mean streets of Burt, Donegal. Members, Eoghan Donegan (Guitarist/Singer), along with brothers Míchéal (Bass/Singer) and Ciarán McCay (Drums/Singer) struck up a friendship after meeting at Japanese drumming (Taiko) classes in Derry. What started out as a mutual appreciation of film, soon germinated into a real desire to express themselves through music, inspired by their surroundings, art and Japanese culture.
Lost Avenue are a three piece, alternative punk band from Derry. A powerhouse of an outfit, with distinctive vocals, throwing out memorable hooks.
