Join artist instrument builder Ed Devane in a hands-on workshop, and leave with three different musical instruments: a Hexbourine tambourine, a simple horn instrument called the Balloony Tube, and a Tik-Tak-Glo drum that has an LED that lights every time the drum head is hit.

Participants will be introduced to the world of music, instrument building, simple electronics, geometry and material manipulation using specially laser cut designs with a STEAM education twist. Ages 8 - 12.

Future Artist-Maker Labs harnesses the creative power of three leading FabLabs in Derry~Londonderry, Limerick and Madrid, to bring together an exciting international programme of art-making, exhibition, training, and networking. Led by the Nerve Centre, in partnership with FabLab Limerick and Ultra-Lab, Madrid, Future Artist-Maker Labs gives artists from across Europe access to the latest digital fabrication FabLab technologies and materials for art-making.
